Animal Care and Wellness

• Animal Care Volunteers: Assist with feeding, cleaning, and providing basic care for rescued animals.

• Groomers: Maintain the health and hygiene of our animals through grooming services.

• Wellness Program Volunteers: Support holistic healing programs, including yoga, meditation, animal-assisted therapy, and other wellness activities.
   

Veterinary and Health Services

• Veterinarians & Veterinary Assistants: Provide routine and emergency care, vaccinations, and assist in medical procedures.

• Nutritionists: Develop tailored feeding plans based on each animal’s specific health needs and recovery goals.

Training and Rehabilitation

• Trainers and Animal Behaviorists: Help with behavioral training and rehabilitation, preparing animals for adoption.

Sustainability and Maintenance

• Eco-Sustainability Volunteers: Help maintain eco-conscious practices like gardening, waste management, and sustainable resource use.

• Gardeners: Cultivate and maintain our gardens, contributing to the sanctuary's sustainability and providing fresh produce for the animals.

• Construction and Repair Volunteers: Assist with building and maintaining sanctuary structures.

 

Community Engagement and Support

• Fundraising and Outreach Volunteers: Assist with organizing fundraising events, community outreach, and maintaining relationships with supporters.

• Guest Experience Volunteers: Work closely with staff to ensure the comfort of guests during retreats.

• Administrative Volunteers: Provide vital support behind the scenes with tasks like managing schedules and processing donations.

• Volunteer Course Facilitators: Lead educational workshops and training sessions as part of our fundraising efforts.

 

Specialized Roles

• Barks & Bubbles Food Truck Staff: Manage and operate our mobile food truck during beach events along the Puntarenas coast, serving dog-friendly treats and promoting our mission.

• Cookie Makers: Prepare homemade, healthy dog cookies for our Barks n' Bubbles food truck and fundraising events.

• Drivers and Animal Transporters: Help with the safe transportation of animals and delivery of supplies.

• Farm Sitters: Offer temporary care for local farmers' properties and animals, allowing them to take necessary breaks or vacations. Volunteers receive complimentary accommodations during their stay.

• Photographers and Videographers: Capture images and videos of our animals, events, and daily activities to help share our story and engage the community.

• Social Media Coordinators: Manage and create content for our social media platforms to raise awareness, share updates, and connect with supporters.
