A Place Where All Souls Heal
Healing Souls Sanctuary is more than a dream.
It’s a sanctuary in the making — for the animals who have been forgotten, for the people who carry pain, and for the land that’s waiting to be brought back to life.
We’ve found the place.
124 hectares of rare, ocean-view land in Balsar, Costa Rica. It has rivers. Forest. Usable flat pastures. Fruit trees. Teak. Two small volunteer houses and a home already built. It’s not just a piece of land — it’s a chance to do something real.
We’re building a safe, permanent home for rescued animals: horses, cows, pigs, dogs, goats, chickens — and the people who care for them.
But it’s more than that.
We’re creating a healing space for humans, too.
Where survivors of burnout, trauma, and grief can reconnect with animals, nature, and themselves.
A place of rhythm, silence, sweat, and stillness.
With bamboo cabinas, a community kitchen, a yoga platform, a ceremonial fire circle, and a physiotherapy center for animals, this sanctuary will be alive with purpose.
Every corner of it will be built with care — and built to last.
What Makes It Different:
Most rescues are just that — rescue.
But we’re building a cycle of healing and sustainability.✔️ Animal rescue and rehab
✔️ Farm and domestic animal support
✔️ Education, wellness, and internships
✔️ Wellness lodging, community programs, and visits
All of it fuels the mission. We won’t rely on donations forever.
Our income will come from what we give back — healing stays, workshops, courses, and more.
🤝 Rooted in Community
This project wouldn’t be where it is without Enrique, a lifelong farmer and horseman who has been with us since the beginning.
He helps us collect leftover food for the animals from the college in Uvita, transports donations like milk and whey, provides the temporary land we use today — and shows up every week to clean the horse stalls with us.
His partnership is part of our foundation. And his spirit is part of our vision.
❤️ What We Believe:
We believe animals heal people as much as we heal them.
We believe in holding space for recovery — not just physically, but emotionally.
We believe that nature, when protected, gives back tenfold.
And we believe in earning our impact, not just asking for it.
That’s why we’ve done this all ourselves so far — from distributing dog food during floods, to trying to save horses in distress, to building pig pens for a farmer who lost everything.
Now we’re ready to go beyond temporary help… and build a permanent place of peace.
We can’t do it alone.
But with you, we can transform 124 hectares into a sanctuary for hundreds of lives.
